Techpreneurship Talk at Explore I.T. 2010

Junior Philippine Computer Society (JPCS), the country’s IT student organization, presents Explore IT 2010. It’s a nationwide student conference to be held today at AIM Makati.
JP Dela Torre will be one of the presenters this afternoon to inspire the students to BE TECHPRENEURS! Giving away limited edition Pinoy Web Startup shirts too.
I’m pretty sure you can walk in to register, sorry I can’t find any other info about the event online.

  • Seems to be a great event, but im too far.

  • We gave away 6 shirts! Next time, I should remember to take down the names of the winners.
It was a pretty good turnout at the SGV Hall at AIM Conference Center. Lots of students.
One student asked “What’s the difference between technopreneurship and e-commerce?” My answer would be that e-commerce, that is buying and selling goods using the Internet as a medium, is just one way of leveraging the Internet for business. Technopreneurship has a much larger scope, including hardware, networking, connectivity, web startups, SaaS, mobile apps, so forth.

  • i was one of the students who attended said conference. the techpreneurship talk was fun and informative! tnx for that.. hope to see you again next explore IT. ♥
