moomai is a refreshingly different facet of social networking in alpha stage, rapidly Railed by the syndeo::media team. You don’t create your usual profile page with school or work info — rather you show off your personality and bring in more quality in your friend connections by rating your Intimacy level from “Practically strangers” to “Buddy” to “True Love”.
I’ve been entertained throughout my moomai experience… like:
- updating my mood with the mood blaster (say what you feel and why) and checking out my mood timeline.
- tagging myself and friends "chocoholic" or "CPA" or "moomai god"
- being greeted with phrases like "You’re a financially-capable ok gal who spent a lot of time in the library as a kid." – and randomly change your description with just a click.
- playing with the moomai quilt. You have to try it. Scarily addictive.
- rating yourself from 1 to 10 on each of these attributes: wealth, looks, charm, brains, and body… Plus let your friends rate you too. Honestly, though, I don’t think I can give anyone a score below 5 — except maybe wealth.
- going beyond testimonials. Share a story about yourself… or your friends.

Is there room for moomai in the ocean of social network platforms right now? Potential, there is. It’s still a bit raw (alpha stage) but with social network pros (makers of 3eep and highfiber) working on it and an all-around intuitive entertaining online experience, moomai stands a good chance.

moomai seems to be a very interesting venture. I find the intimacy level rating to be quite novel. Would anyone know how I can get an invite?
