I think their point is that faster and cheaper internet will greatly boost the growth of internet companies in the Philippines. Not that having a slow and expensive internet can not provide growth for these companies, it's just that their growth can be rather slow, if not none at all, leading for only a few people to actually venture in to this type of business. @jason I don’t think they solely referred to “internet speed”.
