That could be less travel cost -- although accommodations in the US would be easier with all the available Filipino housing :D I guess that would only be beneficial if you want to target the strong China market rather than a global or Western audience, right? I'm not too sure if that's an option for those who are just bootstrapping. There's a lot of available medium to gain exposure... IMHO.
